Let's see how these tourists enjoy Kusatsu Onsen. They seem very excited to find unique souvenirs and meet local people. |
1. Start from Yubatake
The water falling from the wooden gutters is overwhelming, and it produces dense steam and sulfur smell. |
2. Trying footbaths for free
At "Yukemuri-tei", they enjoy hot springs with clothes on. It's a nice way to talk with other tourists. "Oh, this makes us warm... "
|
3. Trying Yumomi
Next, they decide to join "Yumomi" at "Netsu no Yu", the feature of Kusatsu whereby they stir hot water to Kusatsu folk songs. They are surprised at the weight of the paddle.

They were served tea when sampling at a pickle store! |

Freshwater fish are grilled and served on skewers at some stores. |

"Maneki-Neko" or beckoning cat brings in good fortune.
