  • Turn right after leaving Naganohara Kusatsu-guchi Station. After walking about 50 meters, you'll come upon a bus stop. Take a bus bound for Kusatsu Onsen from here.
  • Transfers are convenient, since the departure times of buses bound for Kusatsu Onsen are coordinated with the arrival times of limited express trains on the JR Agatsuma line.
  • Buses to Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal take approx. 25 minutes.

How to board a bus

  1. 1.Board using either the front or middle door.

  2. 2.Take a numbered ticket from the dispenser just inside the door when boarding the bus at any stop other than the stop of origin.

  3. 3.Press the button to indicate you want to get off after hearing the name of your stop announced.

  4. 4.Check the fare table. Your fare is written next to the number found on your ticket.

  5. 5.Stand up after the bus has stopped and put your fare and numbered ticket in the fare box.

  6. 6.Exit through the front door.
